The body, chaired by Lidwien Reehuis of The Netherlands, met in Växjö in Sweden and heard from IFF secretary general John Liljelund and Rules and Competition Committee chairman Martin Klabere.

Topics discussed included the World Games, with floorball poised to make its debut as a full medal sport at the event in Polish city Wrocław in July.

Competition matters raised the most discussion, with debate on the current qualification system for the World Championships and the future of the Champions Cup.

How to reduce costs for smaller nations was also on the agenda, as well as the use of video technology in the sport.

Several proposals were made to alter laws of floorball, which will now be considered by the Rules and Competition Committee.

The Athletes' Commission features nine members, with the eight other than Reehuis split equally between men and women.

Previously, the body operated on a two-year term, but this has now been changed to four years.

It is hoped this will allow the Commission more time to bring about positive change.
