The Professional Squash Association (PSA) Players of the Year are due to be crowned on June 5 when their annual Awards Dinner takes place in Dubai.

The winners of the men’s and women’s awards will be named in Dubai’s Vida Hotel, with the event scheduled to take place on the eve of the season-ending PSA Dubai World Series Finals due to be held from June 6 to 10.

A PSA Awards Committee, consisting of selected influential former players, members of the media, tournament promoters and PSA Board representatives will recognise the highest achievers of the season.

PSA players and online fan votes will also play a part in the several of the awards.

Both the men’s and women’s Player of the Year honours, as well as the junior prizes, will be decided by the Awards Committee in conjunction with votes cast on social media.

Two Spirit Of Squash awards will be handed out on the evening, with one men’s and a women’s winner being decided by their fellow players.

The award is presented to the player who best demonstrated sportsmanship like behaviour throughout the season both on and off court.

A Services To Squash award, which has been re-introduced this year, will celebrate an outstanding commitment and service to the sport during the past 12 months.

The winner will be decided by the PSA Foundation’s Board of Trustees, which comes after the founding of the organisation’s charity earlier this year.

Fans will be able to vote for their Shot of the Year and Match of the Year via social media, with men’s and women’s prizes being handed out.
