Ukraine’s Vasyl Kovalchuk brought the World Shooting Para Sport Grand Prix in Szczecin to a close by winning the final event of the competition.
The two-time Paralympic champion had missed out on victory in the R4 mixed 10m air rifle standing event earlier in the Grand Prix.
Kovalchuk was not to be denied in today’s R5 mixed 10m air rifle prone SH2 event, triumphing with a final score of 255.3 points.
His closest challenger was Dragan Ristic, who would end as the runner-up as the elimination round came to a conclusion.
The Serbian shooter finished the event with a tally of 254.7.
Germany’s Michael Beutel rounded off the podium positions by scoring 232.6.
Kovalchuk’s victory completed a fine four days of competition for the Ukrainian team, who will depart Poland having won four gold medals.
The next World Shooting Para Sport event will begin in Hannover on May 4, with action running until May 17.
