Joseph Rodan has been re-elected President of the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC).

It follows elections held during the body's Annual General Assembly (AGM) at Olympic House in Suva.

Rodan was initially appointed to FASANOC's top job in March 2015, replacing Reg Sanday.

He represented Fiji as an athlete and manager from 1975 to 1991, participating at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and Pacific Games.

In 2007, he was inducted into the Fiji Sports Hall of Fame.

The AGM also saw Rio 2016 Chef de Mission Cathy Wong elected as a new vice-president.

Vanessa Kilner, whose term expired at the AGM, was re-elected as a vice-president.

The pair join ongoing vice-presidents Jerome Kado, Harvie Probert, Makarita Lenoa and Manasa Baravilala to make up the full FASANOC Executive Board.

A total of 29 National Federations attended the AGM.

Fiji won their first Olympic medal of any colour at the Rio 2016 Games in August, when their men's rugby sevens team clinched gold.
