Hosts South Korea secured another win today in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Men’s Under-18 World Championships Division II Group A – which is acting as a test event for next year’s Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

They managed to defeat Croatia 4-1 at the Gangneung Hockey Center to follow on from their 3-2 win over Great Britain yesterday.

Romania bounced back from a 4-3 loss to Lithuania yesterday to thrash Estonia 4-0.

Britain also had a good day, beating Lithuania 3-1.

In the women’s competition, the host nation cruised to a 8-1 victory over Australia.

The other matches saw The Netherlands beat Slovenia 5-1, while North Korea needed overtime to secure a 3-2 win over Britain.

Competition in the men’s section will take a rest tomorrow, but there are three games scheduled for the women, including a clash between North and South Korea in Gangneung.

In Kwandong, Slovenia will play Britain and the Dutch take on Australia.
