British sprinters enjoyed a strong third day of competition at the 2017 World Para Athletics Dubai Grand Prix at the city's Club for the Disabled today.

However, it was an Algeria thrower who once again produced a world record breaking performance.

This came from Nadia Medjmedj in the women's F56 discus.

Her best mark of 26.17 metres proved enough to beat team-mate Nassima Saifi, who managed 34.55m.

Orla Barry of Ireland managed 29.74m for third place.

British sprinting success was led by world and Paralympic 100m T38 champion Sophie Hahn.

She claimed victory in the T37/38 category in a time of 12.87sec, just 0.27 outside her own world record mark.

Lindy Ave of Germany clocked 13.48 for second place while Hahn's fellow Briton Kadeena Cox returned from competing in Channel 4's The Jump television series to take bronze in 13.77.

Fellow Briton Maria Lyle was a comfortable winner in the 100m T35/36/42.
