Tickets for sporting action at this year's World Games in Wrocław have gone on sale, organisers have announced.

Wrocław 2017 have also said seats for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, due to take place on July 20 and 30 respectively, will be made available shortly.

The announcement was made at the headquarters of the Polish Olympic Committee (POC) in Warsaw at an event attended by POC President Andrzej Kraśnicki as well as Organising Committee counterpart Marcin Przychodny.

The lowest-priced tickets start at PLN5 (£1/$1.23/€1.16) for disciplines such as roller sports, with the most expensive starting at PLN40 (£8/$10/€9) for dance sports and speedway racing.

Organisers have made some events, such as the majority of archery competitions and action in wakeboarding and waterskiing, free of charge to the public.

They are also offering half-price tickets for children, students and people over the age of 60.

Family passes will be available for parents with three or more children and one child will always enter for free with a paying adult.

Wrocław 2017 have also prepared multiple entrance tickets for sports which last more than two days.

Morning and evening tickets for sports which go on for several hours, such as beach handball, American football, bowling, finswimming, flying disc, floorball, karate, kickboxing, sport climbing and tug of war, will be on offer to purchase.

A separate pool of tickets has been reserved for members of the International Federations (IFs) whose sport features on the programme for the 2017 World Games, which are expected to attract 4,000 athletes from 100 nations worldwide.

"The Wrocław Organising Committee will shortly announce the deadline for Federations to purchase tickets from the reserved pool," a statement from organisers read.

"The Organising Committee will also be prepared to make more tickets available for Federation use, if it becomes clear that interest exceeds the size of the current pool."
