Nominations are being accepted for the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Paralympic Media and BP Courage Awards.

The media prizes recognise broadcasters, print journalists and photographers who contributed to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Courage Award winners are athletes, teams or organisation who are deemed to have shown great inner strength, impacted perceptions of what others believe is unexpected and resilience to excel against challenges put in front of them.

All IPC members, including National Paralympic Committees, Regional Organisations, Federations and International Organisations of Sports for the Disabled can make nominations.

Dutch Para-snowboarder Bibian Mantel-Spee won the prize in 2015 for her campaigning to get the sport on the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympics programme.

The closing date for nominations is 12pm CET on March 3.

Awards will be handed out on September 7.
