Alvils Brants was victorious in the second seated bobsleigh competition of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) Para-sport World Cup event in Lillehammer today.
The Latvian took second place yesterday but improved upon that result by taking top spot on the podium today.
Brants produced first and second respective run times of 58.14sec and 58.70 to give himself an accumulative time of 1min 56.84sec.
Canada's World Cup and World Championship winner Lonnie Bissonnette improved upon his third place finish yesterday as he took the silver medal in today's race.
Bissonnette finished in a time of 1:56.86.
It was a disappointing day for United States' Barry Schroeder, following his opening victory of the season yesterday, as the American dropped down to third today.
Schroeder failed to register points in Park City but finished top yesterday.
He failed to maintain that form and took third place though in 1:57.22.
The result means Brants has extended his lead over Bissonnette at the top of the overall standings, with the Latvian on 442 points, 14 in front of the Canadian.
Another Canadian slider, Brian McPherson, is third on 376 after his sixth place finish today.
