Representatives from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden have met up to discuss classification topics in Para-sports at a conference.

Para-sport Denmark hosted the Nordic Classification Conference, which is organised every three years by the NordHIF Co-operation for the Nordic NPCs, with national and international strategies looked at.

Tea Cisic, the International Paralympic Committee’s (IPC) classification co-ordinator, was at the event and gave a presentation on the latest news from the governing body.

She also provided information and points of view from the IPC for other areas discussed during the conference and took back a number of comments to the authority.

Wheelchair rugby and Para-cycling classifier Zenta Frerks also spoke about what her job entails and the challenges which appear in the work she performs.

Camila Marie Larsen from the Centre for Research in Adapted Physical Activity spoke at the conference about the studies being done looking into shoulder pain, activity level and quality of life among manual wheelchair users with spinal cord injury.
