Italy’s Silvia Bertagna claimed her maiden International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup victory after winning the women’s big air event at the Sparkassenpark in German city Moenchengladbach this evening.

The 30-year-old topped the standings with a score of 169.40 points, holding off a strong challenge from Sweden’s Emma Dahlstrom who finished runner-up with 162.20.

Completing the podium was home favourite Lisa Zimmerman, with 153.80 points.

Despite finishing second, Dahlstrom still leads the FIS Big Air World Cup standings on 240 points.

Nearest challenger Zimmerman is 80 points behind, while Bertagna is a further 10 back in third.

In the men’s event, Sweden’s Henrik Harlaut came out on top with a score of 177.00 points.

Switzerland’s Luca Schuler took second spot with 174.20 points, just 0.60 more than Norway’s Eirik Sateroy who came third.  

Harlaut’s victory is his second of the FIS Big Air World Cup season, having also triumphed at the opening leg in Chilean resort El Colorado.

Sandwiched between his two wins was a ninth-place finish in Milan last month.

The 25-year-old leads the FIS Big Air World Cup standings with 229 points, followed by Schuler on 166.

Switzerland’s Kai Mahler, who finished 15th today, is third with 140 points.
