Clothing manufacturer Fushan Textile have signed on as premium official sponsors of the Taipei 2017 Summer Universiade.

The company, founded in 1996, have been attributed to the clothing category after an agreement was penned with the Organising Committee for next year’s event.

As part of the deal, Fushan Textile will provide costumes before and during the Games, due to run between August 19 and 30, for volunteers and staff.

"We are thankful that a leading clothing manufacturer such as Fushan Textile has been able to join us as a premium official sponsor for the Games," Organising Committee chairman Koh Wen Jou said.

Fushan Textile become the latest company to join the sponsorship programme for the 2017 Summer Universiade.

Eva Air and China Airlines, along with international food conglomerate Uni-President Enterprises and Hisun Fiber Industries, are in the premium official partner category.

Sunrise Group are listed as an official partner, while Taishan Sports, who provide equipment for major events, and duty free providers Everrich are official sponsors.

Equipment manufacturers Victor are named as an official supplier.

"It is very meaningful that Fushan Textile could participate as a sponsor for the Taipei Universiade," Chen Yu Ching, chief executive of Fushan Textile, said.

"We will provide all the necessary support needed for a successful delivery of the event."

Taipei 2017 have also announced the establishment of a logistics task force, which will coordinate resources from the central and city governments as well as the private sector.

It has been assembled to "provide facilitated delivery service to and from stadiums, venues, including the media centre and Athletes’ Villages, and hotels".

Taipei 2017 estimate they will need 5,000 freight vehicles and 7,000 staff members to service the event.

Organisers have also created a Universiade Logistics Manual, which has been hailed as a "valuable source of reference for future host cities of the games" by the International University Sports Federation.
