The 2016 International Korfball Federation (IKF) European Korfball Championships are set to begin in the Dutch city of Dordrecht as the hosts aim to retain the title they won in Portugal two years ago.

The sixth edition of the competition is due to start tomorrow at Sportboulevard with the final taking place on October 30.

Throughout the tournament a total of 33 matches will be played with tomorrow's opening contest between Poland and the Czech Republic getting the competition underway.

The Netherlands, the reigning champions and the hosts of the event, are also scheduled to begin their campaign tomorrow when they take on Catalonia in pool A.

Joining Catalonia and the Dutch side, also the current world champions, in pool A are Germany, Russia and Turkey.

Belgium, the runners-up two years ago, will be attempting to go one better this time around, however they have been drawn in a seemingly difficult pool B.

As well as the Belgians, both the third and fourth placed teams from the 2014 edition of this event, England and Portugal, have been drawn together.

Poland and the Czech Republic, meanwhile, complete the group.

Every match of the Championships will be available to watch online through live streaming on the IKF's social media channels.
