Rio 2016 Paralympic gold medallists headline the list of entries for this year's International Tennis Federation (ITF) Doubles Masters, which will be held in Mission Viejo in California next month.

The prestigious event invites the top eight men's and women's doubles pairings as well as the top four quad duos, for competition at the Marguerite Tennis Pavilion.

The top seeds in the men's competition will be Rio champions Stephane Houdet and Nicolas Peifer of France, who beat British pair Alfie Hewett
and Gordon Reid to gold in the Brazilian city last month.

Reid, the singles champion in Rio, is seeded second for the event alongside French partner Michael Jeremiasz, with the duo winning the event last year.

In the women's competition, Paralympic champions Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot are the top seeds and defending Masters winners.

The Dutch pair will face competition from their compatriot Diede de Groot, a silver medallist in the doubles in Rio, who has teamed up with bronze medallist Lucy Shuker of Britain.

The Dutch-British combination will be the second seeds in Mission Viejo, while Griffioen beat her partner to the Rio singles title.

In quads competition, Rio silver medallists and three-time Paralympic champions Nick Taylor and David Wagner of the United States are top seeds and will be looking to defend their crown.

Paralympic champions Dylan Alcott and Heath Davidson of Australia are not among the entries.

Action at the tournament will take place between November 2 and 6.

The field was decided after the ITF's ranking cut-off point of September 26.

Mission Viejo is hosting for the fourth successive year.
