The Icelandic Olympic Committee (IOC) brought two souvenir pins to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Pin collecting is an essential part of any Games for many enthusiasts, with the Icelandic pins said to be "highly sought after".

One of the pins features the IOC logo with the words "Rio 2016" underneath, with the second simply featuring the governing body's emblem.

The pins have been handed out to volunteers in Rio to "reward them for their good work".

Iceland has a pin enthusiast of their own in the Olympic city, with gymnastics coach Vladimir Antonov building up a big collection.

The European country took eight athletes to Rio, including gymnast Irina Sazonova, who previously represented Russia.
