The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) has announced that the 2017 Pan American Ultimate Club Championships (PAUCC) will be staged in Cañuelas City, 40 kilometres outside of Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital.

The event is due to take place from November 14 until 19 at the Dirck Henry Kloosterman Recrational Center and will be supported by the Pan American Flying Disc Federation.  

Tournament organisers spiritu Sudaka is a non-profit sports organisation which has hosted the popular annual “Espiritu Sudaka” Ultimate Tournament for the past seven years.

"WFDF is very pleased to award this event to Argentina," WFDF President Robert Rauch said.

"This will be the first time that it has hosted a WFDF event and we recognise the effort that Espiritu Sudaka has made in developing Ultimate in the region and supporting other Ultimate organisations,”

Rauch added: "Following a very successful PAUCC event in Mexico in 2015, with some 900 players from 8 countries, we are excited to watch the sport in Latin America continue to grow."

Event director Santiago Preckel said: "Espiritu Sudaka is extremely excited to be hosting the WFDF 2017 Pan American Ultimate Club Championships in Argentina. 

"Over the past years we have focused on regional development and integration, working with teams and National Associations from countries such as Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia. 

"This is a great opportunity for the region to grow together, working with the help of countries from the entire continent."
