European stars are dominating the latest United World Wrestling (UWW) freestyle ranking lists circulated ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The reigning world and Olympic champion continues to dominate the under 74 kilograms class to lead ahead of Russia's Aniuar Geduev and Mongolia's Unurbat Purevjav.

Iran's Hassan Yazdani Charati climbs to fourth place.

Russia also hold three top positions, while Georgia hold two and both Azerbaijan and Italy one each.

Anzor Boltukaev leads Russian team-mate Khadshimourad Gatsolov in the under 97kg division, while Abdulrashid Sadulaev and Shamil Kudiyamogomedov lead another 1-2 for the world's largest nation in the under 86kg event.

Magomedrasul Gazimagomedov leads in the under 70kg event ahead of Adam Batirov, a 2009 European champion for Russia who has now switched to Bahrain.

Georgia's Olympic silver medallist Vladimir Khinchegashvili leads Iranian rival Hassan Rahimi in the under 55kg division.

At the other end of the weight spectrum, his compatriot Geno Petriashvili leads the way in the under 120kg heavyweight category.

Russia's Bilyal Makhov climbs to second place after a victory at the Ziolkowski International. 

Italy's Frank Chamizo leads in the under 65kg event, while Haji Aliev of Azerbaijan tops the bill at under 61kg.

All eight leaders retain their places from the last world rankings, with next month's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro the next major test.
