Parker Bohn III will captain the United States team at this year's Weber Cup, it has been announced.

The 52-year-old, who has won 35 Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) titles, will be hoping to end a run of three straight European victories at the event in Manchester.

Joining the former world champion on the US team will be Wes Malott, who impressed in the past two Weber Cups despite being on the losing side.

Two new additions complete the American line-up, Marshall Kent and Kyle Troup.

Europe will again be led by Englishman Dominic Barrett who will make his ninth appearance in a European shirt.

The 2013 world champion will be joined by compatriot Stuart Williams with Sweden's Martin Larsen and Jesper Svensson completing the team.

Svensson, the 21-year-old winner of four PBA titles and the 2015 European point ranking leader, will make his debut in the competition.

Named after bowling legend Dick Weber, the Weber Cup is bowling's equivalent of golf's Ryder Cup, pitting the Americans against Europe.

Singles, doubles and team matches are held over three days to decide the overall winner.

This year's action will take place between August 5 and 7 at Eventcity in Manchester.

The last 11 editions have been held in Barnsley, England.
