The International Judo Federation (IJF) has signed a deal with Todini Costruzioni Generali S.P.A, it has been announced.

The arrangement means that the Italian construction firm has now become an official partner of the IJF, with the agreement set to run for four years.

It is the second deal the IJF has signed in a matter of weeks after The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) became an official partner in February.

The deal with Todini includes the support of the IJF's Training Centre in Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent.

It was signed by IJF President Marius Vizer and Todini chief executive Orifjan Shadiyev, who met in Vienna.

"This new partnership is in the spirit of the IJF strategy to develop judo throughout the world in all sectors," said an IJF statement following the signing in Austria.

"The agreement, which will run for four years, also includes the support of the IJF Training Centre in Tashkent.

"It shows the progress that the image of judo has achieved as a sport attracting more and more practitioners and fans on the five continents, and that judo also attracts more institutions and companies from the private sectors."

As well as SOCAR, other official partners of the IJF include OTP Bank and sportswear firm Green Hill.

The SOCAR deal was also signed for a four-year period.
