Canada and South Korea continued their unbeaten form after three days of women's competition at the World Junior Curling Championships at the Taarnby Curling Club  in Copenhagen.

Four teams, meanwhile, remain tied at the top of the men's event.

Defending female champions Canada beat Hungary 9-3 in just seven ends to make it five wins out of five.

South Korea were forced all the way to the 10th and deciding end before overcoming Switzerland, 5-2.

"I think that was a good game, we made some really good shots but they made some nice shots too," Canadian skip Mary Fay, who also led her country's mixed team to the gold medal at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer last month, said.

"But I think we were on the right side of the inch there.

"We're glad to have made it this far, but we just want to keep going now."

The United States are chasing the two leaders hard after an 8-4 win over Scotland to cement themselves in third place.

Five teams are on two wins, including Sweden, winners twice today, and Russia, who beat Japan by 7-3.

Hungary, Switzerland and Turkey have also won twice.

Scotland have triumphed just once and Japan are yet to get off the mark.

Russia, Scotland, Switzerland and the US all remain top of the leaderboard after four rounds of the men's competition.

Russia beat Denmark, who are still looking for their first win, 8-3, and Scotland scored six points in the second end to propel themselves to a 13-4 victory over Turkey.

In a repeat of last year's final, Switzerland avenged defending champions Canada, who suffered a second successive 7-5 defeat.

The US beat South Korea, also without a win so far, 9-4.

The Championships were originally awarded to Erzurum in Turkey, but were reallocated to Denmark last month due to security fears.

Built in 1978, the Taarnby Curling Club has hosted two World Senior Championships, as well as two European Mixed and four European Junior events.
