Bialecka led Dutch rival Lilian De Geus by 11 points heading into the 10-boat medal race, in which points count double.

She duly held her nerve to sail strongly for a sixth place finish to put her on a total haul of 51.0 points.

"I'm in seventh heaven, the last few months for me have been something amazing," the Polish winner said afterwards.

A thrilling battle was ongoing behind her for the minor medals, with Britain's Beijing 2008 Olympic bronze medallist Bryony Shaw crossing the line third on the day to pip fourth-placed De Geus.

Both finished on 58 points, with Shaw claiming silver and De Geus the bronze by virtue of the Briton's better finish in the medals race.

Poland's second sailor, the London 2012 bronze medallist Zofia Klepacka, had to settle for fourth overall after a fifth placed finish today,

Charline Picon of France, the world champion in 2014, won the medal race to finish sixth overall.

Myszka finished ninth in today's men's finale with the pressure off as his lead at the beginning of the day meant it was impossible he would be caught.

He finished on 45 points, 16 clear of Dutch duo Dorian Van Rijesselberge and Kiran Badloe.

London 2012 Olympic champion Van Rijesselberge's second-placed finish in the medals race proved enough for him to take silver overall.

Badloe claimed bronze after only managing fifth in the finale.

Britain's Olympic silver medallist Nick Dempsey finished fourth overall, while home hope Shahar Zubari of Israel won the medals race to finish the week in sixth place.
