The 19-year-old has won all but one of the 12 World Cup events this season, including yesterday's action in Hinzenbach, and was too strong again as she continued her seemingly unstoppable charge towards the overall crown.

The double World Cup champion jumped 98 metres and then 90m which was enough for a winning tally of 260.1 points.

Austrian Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, the defending champion and the only other woman to win a World Cup event this season, managed 88.5m and 90m for 242.0 points and finished second.

Another Austrian, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, claimed her second bronze medal of the campaign on her home hill with jumps of 90m and 88m for 240.3 points.

Takanashi now boasts 1180 points on top of the overall standings ahead of the next two events in Ljubno in Slovenia on February 13 and 14.

Iraschko-Stolz has 809 in second, while third-placed Slovenian Maja Vtič is a long way adrift on 538.

"I am really happy and I enjoyed jumping today a lot, this weather was really nice," said Takanashi.

"Now I am looking forward to Ljubno already."

Meanwhile, the men's World Cup in Holmenkollen in Oslo was cancelled due to strong winds and dense fog at Norway's famous hill.

Only two jumps had been completed when organisers took the decision to call off the action.

The next World Cup for the men is scheduled for Trondheim, Norway, on February 10.
