Russia's Andrey Sobolev and Czech Republic's Esther Ledecká claimed the male and female titles at the Slovenian leg of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard parallel giant slalom event in Rogla today.

Ledecká, gold medallist at last year's World Championships in Kreischberg, repeated her winning form in a resort at which she claimed her first-ever World Cup victory in January 2014.

The 20-year-old has gained three subsequent victories elsewhere, and showed her calibre once again with a dominant 4.4 second success over Austria's Marion Kreiner in today's final.

Russia's Ekaterina Tudegesheva won the contest for third.

The trio lie in the same three positions in the parallel giant slalom World Cup standings, with Ledecká also moving into the lead in the overall parallel snowboard rankings.

Ledecká moves 230 points clear of Tudegesheva, with Switzerland's Patrizia Kummer falling to third after finishing down in 18th today.

There was success for another world champion on the men's side as Andrey Sobolev defeated Bulgarian rival Radoslav Yankov by 0.50 seconds in the final.

Russia also claimed bronze courtesy of American-born Vic Wild, the two-time Sochi 2014 champion who overcame compatriot Stanislav Detkov.

Yankov leads both the parallel and parallel giant slalom standings, with Sobolev moving second in both lists.

Sobolev will look to use home advantage to close the gap at the leg of the series in Moscow next Saturday (January 30).
