International sports marketing agency PULZ will officially launch the Bowls Sports League as part of the upcoming SPORTELMonaco 2015 convention, it has been announced.

The Bowls Sports League will be an invitation-only series of events which combines the four major bowls sports - French pétanque, boule Lyonnaise, Italian raffa-volo and Lawn Bowls.

Organisers hope the new style of competition will help generate interest in the sport within the public and media sectors.

Some of the world’s top players are due to compete, with PULZ claiming this forms part of what they call the bowls sports revolution.

They believe the competitions will be innovative as they will have a different format and will garner higher television interest than the sport of bowls usually attracts.

PULZ hope to get host cities and villages involved and a special press conference on the Bowls Sports League is due to be held during SPORTELMonaco, which begins tomorrow and runs until Thursday (October 15).

Patrick Duvarry, chief executive and founder of PULZ, will be in attendance at the four-day event at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, which brings together a range of sports business people as well as sporting legends.

Duvarry will be joined by Frederic Le Fourn, who is the events director for PULZ, who are the only international agency dedicated exclusively to lawn bowls, raffa-volo, boule Lyonnaise and pétanque.

They claim bowls sports has a huge media potential and that the range of sports will undergo huge development over the coming decade.

The convention itself, considered the most important for sports business people which allows for some of the industry’s most important figureheads to network and discuss business plans, will feature a series of talks and workshops.

Back in August, SPORTEL revealed 99 per cent of the exhibition at their convention in Monte Carlo had sold out, with more than 1,200 participants already signed up.
