Four women's Games' records were broken at the International Military Sports Council (CISM) World Games athletics in the South Korean city of Mungyeong today.
The first went to Brazilian Rosangela Santgos who won the women's 100 metres in 11.17sec ahead of Ukraine's Nataliya Pohrebnyak and Marika Popowich of Poland.
Bahrain's Kemi Adekoya then set a new mark in the 400m hurdles, clocking 55.30 to edge out Ukrainian Anna Ryzhykova.
In the triple jump, World Indoor Champion Yekaterina Koneva of Russia managed 14.28m and the record breaking was completed by her compatriots in the 4x400m relay.
The team of Yekaterina Renzhina, Olga Kotlyarova, Kseniya Ryzhova and Antonina Krivoshapka went round in 3 min 28.75 sec ahead of Ukraine and Bahrain.
A Games record also went in the men's competition as Asian 400m record holder Yousef Al-Masrahi from Saudi Arabia timed 45.18 ahead of India's Arokia Rajiv and Bahrain's Abbas Abubaker.
There was more Saudi success in the 800m thanks to Ali Saad Al-Deraan who recorded a personal best of 1:45.50 to beat Kenya's Jackson Kivuva and former European champion Marcin Lewandowski of Poland.
In the men's 100m final a national record by Oman's Barakat Al-Harthi of 10.16 was enough for victory in front of Iran's Reza Ghasemi and Moroccan Aziz Ouhadi.
Algeria's All-Africa Games champion Abdelmalik Lahoulou won the 400m hurdles in 49.43, ahead of Russian Timofey Chalyy and Kenyan Boniface Mucheru, while Russia picked up two gold medals with Pavel Shalin winning the long jump in 7.66m and Kiril Ikonnikov claiming hammer honours with a throw of 75.88m.
Darlan Romani of Brazil came out on top in the shot put with an effort of 20.08m ahead of Luxembourg's Bob Bertemes who recorded 19.60m.
Meanwhile, judoka Lee Seung-su and wrestler Kim Jin-cheol won the second and third gold medals for hosts South Korea.
Lee won the men's under-81kg final via ippon over Russia's Aslan Lappinagov, while Kim was the men's 57kg freestyle king as he saw off Vladimir Kudrin of Kazakhstan 3-1.
