Angola maintained their 100 per cent start to the International Basketball Federation's (FIBA) Women's AfroBasket as they continued their bid for a third consecutive title in Cameroon.

They made it three wins out of three in Yaounde and cemented their place on top of Group B with a comfortable 71-53 success over Algeria.

The star performer for the Angolans was Luisa Tomas who chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds although the defending champions did have to recover from a slow start to the contest.

With the match tied midway through the second quarter, the Angolans eventually clicked into gear and put together a 20-1 scoring burst to end the half 40-21 in front.
