Having beaten British reigning champion Jamie Burdekin in the semi-final, Wagner underlined his world number one ranking by dispensing of another Briton in the final with a commanding display.

Wagner secured the first set 6-0 as he raced towards his first singles title of the year, before sealing the victory by clinching the second set 6-1.

Lapthorne and Burdekin were able to gain some revenge for their respective defeats by overcoming Wagner and his compatriot Nick Taylor in a gruelling doubles final, in which the British pair triumphed 6-3, 3-6, 11-9.

Unseeded Michaël Jeremiasz continued his resurgence in the men's wheelchair singles event, as the French former world number one booked a place in the final, coming from behind to beat Belgium's Joachim Gérard 4-6, 6-2, 63.

Jeremiasz will face defending champion Gordon Reid in the final, after the Briton overcame France's Nicolas Peifer 6-4, 6-4.

The four men's singles semi-finalists will all feature in the men's doubles final after recording semi-final victories, with French pair Jeremiasz and Peifer earning a 6-0, 6-3 win over South Africa's Evans Maripa and Briton Marc McCarroll in their semi-final.

Meanwhile, Reid and Gérard claimed a 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 win over Australia's Adam Kellerman and The Netherlands' Maikel Scheffers.

Germany's Sabine Ellerbrock reached the women's final, a week on from winning the Pensacola Open, by fighting back to secure a 3-6, 62, 6-4 win over The Netherlands' Marjolein Buis.

She will now face second seed Jordanne Whiley after she won an all-British semi-final against Lucy Shuker 6-4, 4-6, 6-1, while the pair will now join forces in the doubles final where they will face Ellerbrock and Buis.
