The United States' Dan Cnossen earned victory in the men's sitting event, completing the course in 25min 40.8sec, ahead of Russia's Alexey Bychenok second in 25:40.8.

Cnossen's teammate Andrew Soule completed the podium in 25:56.8, a result that saw him claim the World Cup title.

"It is a great feeling and a great finish to the season," Soule said.

"This is just a great end to the season."

Russian skiers topped the podium the remaining men's cross-country races of the season with Rushan Minnegulov winning the men's standing event in 24:36.3 ahead of the Ukraine's Ihor Reptyukh who finished 5.3 seconds back.

But both men trailed Russia's Vladislav Lekomtcev in the overall standings.

Stanislav Chokhlaev and guide Evgenii Fatkhullin were over 30 seconds clear of their nearest rivals in the men's visually impaired event winning in 25:07.8, however Norway's Eirik Bye took the overall World Cup title.

In the corresponding women's event, a third place finish proved enough for Russia's Iuliia Budaleeva and guide Tatiana Maltseva to earn the overall World Cup title, with compatriots Elena Remizova and guide Maksim Pirogov recording a time of 14:43.6 to win on the day.

Osksana Masters secured America's second gold of the event and overall title, taking victory in the women's sitting event in 14:19.0, ahead of home favourite Mariann Marthinsen, who finished second after posting a time of 14:47.0.

Ukraine secured a one-two finish in the women's standing event as Oleksandra Kononova claimed revenge over Liudmyla Liashenko, finishing 14 seconds clear of her countrywoman to seal the victory, a day after Liashenko had beaten her in the biathlon.

But the two women finished behind Brittany Hudak in the overall standings, after the Canadian's fourth place finish confirmed her as the women's standing World Cup champion.
