Oman Olympic Committee have announced they will hold a board meeting on March 31 ©OOCThe Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) have announced that they will hold their Ordinary General Assembly on March 31, following a Board meeting in Muscat.


Chaired by OOC chairman Khalid al Zubair the board also approved the statutes of the sport dispute resolution and arbitration regulation.

The Committee also made the directive that all its national sports associations should amend their respective statutes to fit with the new regulations, which are set to be approved at the OGA in March.

Additionally the Committee decided that the Sheikh Saif al Hosni will head the Omani delegation at the second Gulf Cooperation Council Beach Games, due to be held in Doha.

Kazim al Balushi has been named the Chef de Mission for the event that will take place from April 2 to 9, with competitions in beach football, beach volleyball, 3x3 basketball, sailing and swimming all set to feature at the Games.

The OOC board have confirmed the participation of Oman at the summit of the heads of the Gulf cooperations Olympic Committees in the Qatari capital of Doha, with the event set to take place from March 1 to 4.

Meanwhile, the Board also reviewed the technical report regarding Oman's participation at the Asian Games held last September in South Korea and thanked private sector companies Bank Muscat, Omantel and Zubair Corporation for their continued support for countries national teams.
