There is now less than four weeks to go until SPORTELAmerica ©SPORTELThe countdown to SPORTELAmerica has begun with less than four weeks to go until the convention is due to get underway in Miami on March 17.

The event will gather top level executives from a wide range of firms, including broadcasters, television networks, international sports federations, marketing agencies, production companies, rights owners and satellite providers at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in the United States city until March 19.

Among the names already confirmed for SPORTELAmerica are ESPN, Eurosport, the International Equestrian Federation, Fox Sports, the German Football Association, Infront Sports and Media, insidethegames.biz, NASCAR, the National Football League, the World Baseball Softball Confederation and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Speakers and moderators on the programme include the likes of La Liga President Javier Tebas, WWE international managing director and senior vice-president Ed Wells, SNTV managing editor Andrew Parkinson and IMG Media senior vice-president for Latin America, Caribbean and US Hispanic Felix Alvarez-Garmon.

SPORTELAmerica will also see conferences taking place on March 18, with Sports Video Group managing editor Jason Dachman set to moderate "Marketing and Monetising Second Screen in the Americas", while TV Sports Markets editor Frank Dunne moderates "The Evolution of the Latin American TV Market".

The first conference will feature experts from across the Americas discussing some of the ways second screen offerings are being monetised and how those efforts will evolve this year, while the second looks at the key trends in the Latin American sports broadcasting market, including the emergence of new players, shifting strategic alliances and the threats and opportunities posed by new technologies.

Meanwhile, SPORTEL has announced MP & SILVA as a platinum partner who will sponsor the upcoming edition of SPORTELAmerica.
