The World Cup Finals will feature banked slalom events and will see the overall trophies for all disciplines and classifications awarded.

"The World Cup Finals represent another change in a busy season for snowboarders to compete at the highest level," said Dimitrije Lazarovski, head of International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Snow Sports.

"With the addition of a banked slalom, a change in format for snowboard-cross and a split in classifications for lower-limb impaired riders in 2014-2015, we are confident that we can take the momentum of the sport's debut in Sochi forward and are pushing on with this development."

His view was echoed by Sergio Sperandio, President of the San Martino di Castrozza Organising Committee, who said: "We are pleased to host the 2015 World Cup Finals in the heart of Dolomites.

"We are working with enthusiasm to organise this great international event and I'm sure that these athletes, with their determination and willpower will be for us an inspiration."

It was also announced that the Maribor in Slovenia will host a World Cup event from March 2 to 6, taking the total number of World Cup events this season to five.

Both the Maribor World Cup and the World Cup Finals will follow the 2015 IPC Para-Snowboard World Championships, which is due to see about 80 athletes from 20 countries competing in La Molina, Spain, from February 23 to 28.
