CISA have announced they have signed an Memorandum of Understanding with the International Francophone Organisation ©CISAThe Africa International Sports Convention (CISA) have announced they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Francophone Organisation (OIF) ahead of the 9th edition of CISA in Rwanda next month.

The agreement will see the OIF support the event in Kigali, which runs from March 11 to 15, along with JAPPO Sports & Entertainment, the company organising the Convention.

It represents the third time the OIF have been involved with CISA after they were a partner for the 2013 edition in Senegal, and also in 2014, which took place in Cape Verde.

Since the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London, OIF have worked closely with JAPPO, providing support to the company's activities and projects, and the agreement ensures an extension to the partnership they have enjoyed for many years.

At the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, 15 African National Olympic Committee's (NOC's) wore kit provided by JSPORTS, and were also supported by the Association of French speaking NOCs (AFCNO).

CISA is normally held in a French-speaking city but the choice of the Rwandan capital represents an attempt to reach out to Africa's English-speaking population.

The highly-anticipated Convention in Kigali will bring together more than 400 sporting leaders, decision-makers, practitioners and athletes from across Africa and the rest of the world.

As well as the Convention, which will see speakers such as International Swimming Federation (FINA) Honorary President Mustapha Larfaoui talk to the vast number of attendees, various other events will be incorporated into the four day schedule, including a CISA Kids Project, a sport's journalists seminar, a Sports Ministers seminar and an induction ceremony into the Africa Sport's Hall of Fame.
