Kingsbury, who claimed the men's world title last month in Kreischberg, Austria, has been dominating the men's World Cup this season and his fifth triumph in a row sees him move within one win of breaking the record for the most consecutive World Cup wins, which he already jointly holds with Jeremy Bloom of the US.

The Canadian was followed in second by Australia's Matt Graham, who secured his second podium finish of the season, with Russia's Aleksandr Smyshlyaev taking third to match the bronze medal he claimed at the 2015 World Championships in Kreischberg.

Smyshlyaev sits second in the men's overall standings with 281 points but is some way behind Kingsbury's total of 529 points, with the World Championships gold medallist knowing that if he claims moguls and double moguls wins in the next stage of the World Cup in Tazawako, Japan, he will have set a new competition record.

Similarly, Kearney edged closer to the women's record for all time World Cup moguls victories as she added another to her total in Val Saint-Côme, although with her retirement coming at the end of the season time is running out for her to break her compatriot Donna Weinbrecht's record.

She needs victories from all three of her remaining events to set a new record but will need to continue the form that saw her beat second placed Canadian Chloé Dufour-Lapointe by seven points in Canada.

Another Canadian Audrey Robichaud rounded off the World Cup podium after she narrowly finished ahead of her American rival Keaton McCargo, who finished in fourth.

Kearney's attempt to make history could also depend on the form of Chloé's sister Justine Dufour-Lapointe, who has proved to be the American's biggest rival throughout the season, but was below her high standards in front of a home crowd as she was unable to make the final.

Their rivalry will also continue in the overall standings with Justine just 23 points behind Kearney with the moguls season heading towards its conclusion.
