Austrian Iraschko-Stolz posted jumps of 94 and 92.5 metres to top the leaderboard with a total of 239.1 points, while Japan's Sara Takanashi continued her impressive form this season with another podium as she took second with 234.9 points.

Norway's Maren Lundby rounded off the podium as she finished four points behind the Japanese athlete but there was an uncharacteristic bad day for Germany's Sochi 2014 champion Carina Vogt as she could only manage 219.2 points to finish in eighth.

Iraschko-Stolz's victory sees her move further clear of Vogt in the overall classification as she moves onto 722 points compared to her rival's 600 and the she admitted afterwards she was delighted by her form,describing her jumps as "pretty good" today.

"I was not so consistent in the training yesterday but for today I changed my inrun position and I felt much better," she added.

"It worked hard and I'm really happy I could win again.

"This is the best season I've ever had."

The top three in the men's overall standings were all on the podium once again in Titisee-Neustadt, Germany, with Freund, fresh from winning the Willingen World Cup event a week ago, claiming victory on home snow.

Austria's Stefan Kraft and Peter Prevc of Slovenia finished second and third respectively, with the result meaning that Kraft will extend his lead over Prevc in the World Cup standings, while the three men look likely to be challenging each other at the FIS World Championships which are set to begin in Falun, Sweden, on February 19.

They are likely to be joined at the World Championships by Simon Ammann after it was announced that the Swiss ski jumper is back in training just a month after his high speed crash in Bischofshofen, Austria.

But he will not compete in any World Cup events until the World Championships as he attempts to fine tune his condition.
