The 25-year-old Paralympic slalom winner, who will be hoping to break French rival Marie Bochet's dominance in the women's standing class at next month's World Championships in Panorama, Canada, has been in superb form in Martei, also winning the super combined and slalom events.

She continued that fine form today, finishing fastest in both runs to comfortably take gold in 2min 4.95sec, ahead of Russia's Inga Medvedeva and Slovakia's Petra Smarzova.

Austria's Claudia Loesch was also hoping to secure the hat trick of golds in Matrei today following remarkable performances in the first two days of women's sitting competition.

It was not to be for the double Paralympic champion, however, as she failed to finish her second run, opening the door for Japan's Momoka Muraoka to take the win in 2:15.85.

Germany's Ruth Hagspiel was four seconds behind in second while The Netherlands' Linda van Impelen finished third.

Russia's Valerii Redkozubov and guide Evgeny Geroev made it six wins in the last seven Europa Cup contests as they led the field home in the men's visually impaired contest.

A time of 1:55.85 was enough for the Paralympic champions to take the win, with Slovakia's Jakub Krako and guide Martin Motyka 0.34 behind in second, ahead of team mates Miroslav Haraus and guide Maros Hudik.

The men's sitting contest brought a first Europa Cup win of the season to the United States' Tyler Walker as he finished second and first in his two runs to record a time of 1:56.43.

Germany's Georg Kreiter was less than a second behind in the silver medal position, with Japan's Taiki Morii, the winner of the super combined, in third.

Also topping the Europa Cup podium for the first time this season was Slovakia's Martin France in the men's standing class.

A strong first run put him in pole position, and despite finishing third fastest in his second run, he edged Austria's Thomas Grochar into second with a final time of 1:54.31.

Russia's Alexey Bugaev was third in 1:55.06.

Belgium's Eleonor Sana, guided by Chlose Sana, won the women's visually impaired in 2:21.50.
