The Sochi superstar has been battling with seven-time Paralympic medallist Claudia Loesch on the slopes of the latter's home nation with each winning a gold apiece on the opening two days of action.

Germany's Schaffelhuber ended the competition in the sort of form that brought her such significant success in Sochi as she skied to victory in the day's two races.

A time of 1min 01.14sec gave the German the lead in the women's sitting super-G contest, before 56.22sec in the slalom secured the gold.

The combined time was 3.35 ahead of rival Loesch as she settled for her second silver in as many days, while Japan's Momoka Muraoka rounded off the podium in third.

The final four gold medal of the day were split evenly between Austria and Russia with each claiming two apiece.

Inga Medvedeva was on top for the Russians in the women's standing super-combined as she went fastest in both runs to finish with a total time of 2:03.56, 3.49 seconds ahead of team mate Mariia Papulova.

In a close battle with compatriot Ivan Frantsev and guide German Agranovskii, Redkozubov once again came out on top, finishing his two runs in 1:48.04 to his team mates 1:49.71.

Jakub Krako collected another medal for Slovakia as he stepped onto the third tier of the podium with guide Martin Motyka.

Ausrian success came in the men's sitting and standing events where Roman Rabl and Thomas Grochar collected the final two gold medals of the day.

Rabl finished recorded a total time of 1:52.23 to edge out Japan's Akira Kano and Croatia's Dino Sokolovic, while Grochar's time of 1:45.60 was enough to beat France's Cedric Amafroi-Broisat and Russia's Alexander Vetrov.
