Egyptian Dr Hossam Mostafa has been replaced in the interim by Barry Couzner of Australia.

The Board of World ParaVolley thanked Dr Mostafa for his "valuable contribution to the organisation over the past years" after accepting his resignation.

Newly appointed interim President Couzner has been the President of Volleyball Australia for 10 years.

He was the first Australian member of the International Volleyball Federation Board and was volleyball competition manager at the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Couzner has also been volunteering for the World Organisation of Volley for the Disabled and World ParaVolley since 2000, and has been the chair of the Technical Commission, attending a number of ParaVolley events as a tournament director or a jury member.

Canada's Wayne Hellquist has also been elected vice-president in line with changes made to the constitution during a meeting in Elblag, Poland, in June.

He has worked as marketing director for World ParaVolley and has experience in sports management.

Hellquist has also been a member of the Board and vice-president of Volleyball Canada, a member of the Disabled Volleyball Committee for Volleyball Canada and a member of the Board of the Canadian Olympic Committee, including 10 years as vice-president.
