Team Insight will offer corporate groups the chance to participate in the sport of goalball wearing blacked-out shades that impair their vision and challenge participants to work together through the unsettling experience of losing one of their vital senses.

Bullen was part of the British women's goalball team that participated at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, losing out to Sweden at the quarter-final stage.

The 20-year-old was first spotted at a ParalympicsGB Paralympic Potential Day in Birmingham in 2008 and joined the women's goalball squad in 2009.

That same year she helped Britain to claim gold at the European Championships in Munich, Germany.

"I know from my own experience how the sport of goalball can benefit people," said Bullen.

"It almost feels like the sport was designed for team-building as it naturally improves all the workplace-related skills that you need.

"Once the participants put the shades on, they have no choice but to work as a team, resulting in strengthened working relationships, clearer and more concise communication and a developed sense of trust."

Bullen's new company has been set up with support from the Prince's Trust, the Royal National Institute of Blind People and a grant from Shell LiveWire.

"With Team Insight we actually put our clients in the shoes of blind people during their team-building events, which gives them a completely unique experience that is not only educational but also exciting and memorable," added Bullen, who comes from Royston in Hertfordshire.

"It's amazing to see the transformation in the groups we work with.

"In the space of just a few hours, our clients go from being terrified of simply wearing the shades, to running around, blocking balls and communicating effectively as a team.

"Their inhibitions simply disappear."
