Combat will supply all bats at the Under-15 Baseball World Cup ©CombatCombat has been unveiled as the latest official supplier to the Under-15 Baseball World Cup that is due to get underway in Mexico tomorrow .

The North American baseball equipment manufacturer will be the official bat supplier to all 18 teams taking part in the event that will see 83 matches take place across Culiacan, Los Mochis and Mazatlán in Mexico until August 10.

The high-performance bats will adhere to the safety standards and regulations set out by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and as part of the agreement, the Combat brand and logo will be visible across all three competition venues in the Baja California Sur region of Mexico.

"We are proud to partner with such an industry leader in innovation and performance, like Combat, to put its elite products in the hands of the world's most elite and most exciting young baseball players, who will be united on their national teams for the Under-15 Baseball World Cup," said the WBSC's international baseball marketing manager, Masaru Yokoo.

"And the Combat brand will also ensure that we not only meet the needs of the world's top young players, but also the Baseball World Cup's strict competition safety standards."

Combat has offices in Kent, Washington in the United States and Ottawa, Ontario in Canada.

Commenting on the partnership with the WBSC, the firm's international sales and marketing director, Dave McNally, said: "We are extremely delighted to partner with the WBSC and to have our product connect with baseball's future stars on baseball's biggest stage in this youth age group.

"We are confident the upcoming Under-15 Baseball World Cup will be a premier platform from which Combat can further its position and brand awareness globally."

Venezuela are the defending Under-15 Baseball World Cup champions and have been drawn in Group C alongside 2012 runners-up Cuba and Australia, Argentina, Hong Kong and Lithuania.

The US head Group B along with rivals Japan and Panama, Germany New Zealand and South Africa.

Group A contains Mexico, Italy, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic and Guatemala.
