The website for the 2015 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships has been launched ©Getty Images A new website has been launched for next year's International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing World Championships in Panorama, Canada.

It features news and athlete profiles, as well as information and course details for the Championships, due to be the largest gathering of the world's top Paralympic skiers since Sochi 2014.

Next year will be the first time the Championships will have been staged in Canada and are expected to attract more than 230 athletes from 30 countries for the competition due to take place from March 1 until  10.

"After the rise in popularity of alpine skiing since Sochi 2014, we are pleased to present this website for fans, the media, athletes and teams to keep up to date with the latest information," said head of snow sports at the IPC Dimitrije Lazarovski.

"We will also publish details of tickets, media accreditation and volunteering over the coming months.

"With such a beautiful, challenging setting in a world-renowned resort, we are aiming for Panorama 2015 to be the best World Championships ever."

The 2013 edition took place in Molina, Spain, and saw France top the medal table with 12 medal,s including seven gold, with Austria in second ahead of Russia.

France's gold medal haul was down mainly to Marie Bochet, who claimed an unprecedented five world titles, becoming the first ever Para-skier to win downhill, slalom, giant slalom, super combined and super-G titles at the same event.

The 20-year-old went on to win four gold medals at Sochi 2014.
