Venues for water polo and the basketball finals at the Gwangju 2015 Summer Universaide have been chosen during a 14-day inspection of facilities.
The locations originally picked by organisers did not meet the minimum requirements of the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
After reviewing options, it has been agreed to stage the water polo competition at the Yeomju Swimming Pool.
The basketball finals, which require seating of more than 5,000 for spectators, are set to be held at the Jeonju Indoor Gymnasium, as there is not an appropriate facility in Gwangju and the South Jeolla Province, according to organisers.
As part of FISU's International Technical Sub-Committee (CTI) inspection, a provisional match schedule has been decided for each sport.
Plans for the athletes' waiting rooms, medical office, doping rooms and other facilities have also been finalised.
Led by CTI chair John Warnock, the delegation of 38 inspected facilities for 20 sports, excluding swimming.
They held a sports seminar during their visit to transfer "specialised knowledge of FISU" as well as talk about game management, game facilities, catering, accommodation, transportation, security, media and other topics to relevant personal linked with Gwangju 2015.
On-site inspections of the more than 40 training venues were also carried out between May 29 and Wednesday (June 11).
During the final meeting of the CTI, Warnock said: "I would like to thank the OC [Organising Committee] for the thorough preparations made for this second CTI inspection and I am sure the new constructed venues will become a lasting legacy for the citizens of Gwangju."
He also recommended the new constructions be completed by March 2015 and undergo test events.
Kim Yoon-suk, secretary general of the Organising Committee, stated: "So far, the Organising Committee has been preparing flawlessly, but through this inspection we were able to receive much advice from the technical delegates and will use them to supplement any matters necessary."
The South Korean city is due to stage the Games from July 3 to 14.
