Fajer Jassim received a diploma certificate after taking part in the 54th international session of young members of the International Olympic Academy (IOA).

She was one of around 200 people from 96 countries, including 13 instructors, in the Greek capital for the session.

Held at the IOA's headquarters, the subject "Olympic Values: Respect for diversity", was the topic of conversation.

Certificates were handed to the students by IOA President Isidoros Kuvelos at the Closing Ceremony of the session.

The contingent of around 200 was made up mainly of students, Olympic athletes and people active in National Olympic Committees.

While in the Athens, Fajer presented a copy of guide book Between Bahrain to the IOA library in an attempt to introduce the history of Bahrain to library goers.

She also made a presentation on the BOC's experience of organising the School Olympics together with the Education Ministry.

The session's objective was to motivate young people to use what they had learned to promote the Olympic ideals and educate others in their own countries.

Fajer said she found the session, held on the sidelines of the IOA Annual Forum last month, beneficial.
