Sri Lanka has appointed Nishantha Piyasena as its Chef de Mission for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, it has been announced.
It will be the fourth occasion Piyasena, assistant secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, has held the role at a major Games.
He was also Sri Lanka's at the inaugural Asian Youth Games and Summer Youth Olympic Games both held in Singapore in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
Piyasena was also the country's Chef de Mission at the 2010 Southeast Asian Games in Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka has chosen 104 athletes to compete in 14 sports at Glasgow 2014, which is due to start on July 23.
Sri Lanka, who made their debut in the Games at Sydney in 1938, have won a total of 13 medals, including four gold.
Boxer Manju Wanniarachchi did win a gold in bantamweight division but was later stripped of the title after testing positive for anabolic steroids.
