Australia has named the 10 badminton players that will represent the nation at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
"The selected players are a pleasing mixture of youth and experience and have a good chance at success, especially in the doubles," ACGA chief executive Perry Crosswhite said.
He Tian Tang, who took bronze with former partner Kate Wilson-Smith last time out in Delhi in 2010, will lead the team at Glasgow next month as she and current partner, Renuga Veeran, look to be one of the squad's best bets for a medal at the Games.
"We are targeting a medal," said head coach Lasse Bundgaard.
"The team is young and exciting, especially on the female side.
"I think it is the best team in a long time for us."
Verdet Kessler will be Australia's women's singles representative in Glasgow.
She is the Australian singles champion, winning the title at the National Championships in Geraldton, Western Australia, last August.
Together with Gronya Somerville and Jacqueline Guan, she brings a fresh look to the team.
Jeff Tho will be Australia's representative in the men's singles, with the experienced Glenn Warfe, competing in his third Commonwealth Games, and Raymond Tam joining medal hopefuls Robin Middleton and Ross Smith in the doubles.
Bundgaard praised the talent in the squad but admitted they would be hard pushed to win a medal in the singles.
"We have some good talent in the singles, but probably just outside the medals at this stage," he said.
"Malaysia will be favourites, but they changed combinations recently which could make the draw exciting.
"Everything could be decided by the draw."
The badminton competition in Glasgow will be held at the Emirates Arena from June 24 to August 3.
