The World Cup in Hungary was the last major Para-canoe event in the build up to the ICF World Championships, which are set to get underway in Moscow, Russia from August 6 to 10.

The Austrian rowed to victory in both the V1 men's 200 metres TA event, the first time he had tried his hand in the event at a World Cup, and K1 men's 200m TA, the event in which he took World Championship gold in 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Russia was an impressive force over the World Cup weekend, winning three titles in all.

Alexandra Dupik and Larisa Volika picked up a gold medal apiece in the K1 women's 200m LTA and V1 women's 200m LTA, while Igor Korobeynikov crossed the line first in the K1 men's 200m A.

Dániel Geri ensured the hosts did not end the competition empty-handed, as he secured gold in the V1 men's 200m LTA, before team mate Robert Suba added a second gold in the V1 men's 200m A race.

The remaining gold medals went to Romania's Iulian Serba in the K1 men's 200m LTA, Italy's Veronika Yoko Plebani in the K1 women's 200m TA and Ukraine's Natalia Lagutenko in the V1 women's 200m TA.
