April 10 - Turkey's and Qatar's Olympic Committees today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will see the two organisations open up new channels of collaboration and best practice exchange.
"We are delighted to be signing this MoU with the Qatar Olympic Committee," said Erdener.
"Both of our nations have placed sport at the heart of our long-term development strategies, and I am sure that this agreement will create many exciting opportunities in the future.
"The Turkish Olympic Committee is committed to bringing top-tier sports events to our country, and to placing sport and Olympism at the heart of our young people's lives.
"Working more closely with a nation that shares our passion and our ambition can help us achieve these objectives."
This agreement cames shortly after the Qatar Olympic Committee signed an MoU with the International Swimming Committee (FINA) as it gets set to host both the third edition of the World Aquatics Convention and the 2014 World Short Course Swimming Championship.
