An extra batch of Sochi 2014 pins for the Cayman Islands Team has been made available for purchase ©CIOCApril 3 - A new batch of Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games pins for the Cayman Islands team has been made available for purchase by the Cayman Islands Olympic Committee (CIOC).

Designed by young Caymanian Charles Gilman, the pins were a hot commodity at Sochi 2014 with all 1,100 traded by the Cayman Islands team during the Games.

An additional 400 pins remained at the CIOC and were made available to purchase locally for CI5 or $10 (£6/€7) for overseas fans.

These additional pins sold out within just four weeks, so the CIOC ordered an extra batch that became available on Tuesday (April 1).

All proceeds from the sale of the pins and other Cayman Islands merchandise goes directly to funding the country's athletes.

Following his design of the pins, Gilman also assisted in developing the new CIOC Logo which is currently being reviewed by the International Olympic Committee.

Working with the CIOC Executive, Gilman was able to put all of its ideas into one contemporary design that ties the Cayman Islands' culture with the Olympic movement.
