ICSS have been appointed of the SportAccord Convention ©ICSSMarch 25 - The International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) has been appointed Official Integrity Partner of the 2014 SportAccord Convention in the Turkish resort of Belek/Antalya.

As "Official Integrity Partner" the ICSS, established in 2010 before being formally launched the following year, will add its knowledge and expertise in the areas of sport safety, security and integrity.

This will include ICSS director of sport integrity Chris Eaton speaking on "The Integrity Issue" panel at the Convention on April 10.

The ICSS will also be an exhibitor at the Convention.

"Our new partnership with the ICSS is especially important as the wealth of expertise they will bring to this year's Convention is undeniable," said Nis Hatt, managing director of SportAccord Convention.

"As more cities and countries win bids to host sports events of various sizes, the ICSS' knowledge of creating safe, secure and honest competitive environments is more beneficial to our delegates than ever."

ICCS President Mohammed Hanzab was similarly pleased when reacting to the announcement.

"Corruption represents one of the biggest threats to many working in the business of sport," he said.

"As an organisation that advises in sport safety, security and integrity, the ICSS is proud to be the Official Integrity Partner of the SportAccord Convention.

"An event created by sport for sport, the SportAccord Convention is an important milestone in the global sports calendar and represents an excellent opportunity for the world of sport and business to focus on issues that are at the front of the mind for many in the industry.

"At the ICSS, we look forward to being involved in the 2014 event and playing our part in the drive to protect sport integrity."

The 12th edition of the Convention is due to begin on Sunday (April 6) at the Susesi Convention Centre and will continue until April 11.
