March 24 - The International Sport Cooperation Centre of Korea (ISC) and British Embassy in Seoul today co-hosted a global sports forum to share knowledge and experience of hosting major international sports event.
Representatives from eight British companies - Global Infusion Group, Stadium TM, Icon World, Production Resource Group, ES Global Solutions, Smiths Detection, Octink and Quadratica UK - all of which have a wealth of experience in major sports events, were also present at the forum as they looked to share their knowledge of major sports events.
The forum gave organisers from both Incheon 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018, the opportunity to learn best practises in running a smooth and successful international sporting event as they continue preparations for their Games.
Pyeongchang 2018 will be the first Winter Games to be held in South Korea and just the second Olympics Games in the country, following the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.
Incheon 2014 will be the third Asian Games to be held in South Korea following Seoul 1986 and Busan 2002.
The global sports forum is part of the follow-up measures to a UK-Korea summit meeting in November 2013.
