Members of the International Aquatics Federation (FINA) will be in Cancun, Mexico on Thursday and Friday (February 27 and 28) for the conference.

It is being pitched as a "unique opportunity" to hear from established team sports and emerging disciplines enjoying popularity.

Under the motto "Sharing the Magic of Team Sports", the conference will give leaders within water polo a chance to hear from international experts to help draw on what they have learned.

It will include success stories from sports such as American football, basketball and ice hockey.

Insights from newly popular sports including rugby sevens, BMX and beach volleyball will also form part of the two-day conference.

And the views of sponsors including Arena and Dentsu will be shared, as well as the success stories in water polo from its athletes and leaders.

FINA president Dr Julio C. Maglione will open and close the conference.
